Wellington OPP said officers were contacted by Toronto Pearson Airport on Saturday night at 10 p.m., and were led to the area of Laird Road West near Wellington Road 22 and Sideroad 10 North.

A suspect was not located, but police continue to investigate and charges may be pending.

“OPP would like to remind everyone that shining a laser pointer at any driver, where it’s a pilot of aircraft, or a vessel or even a driver of a vehicle, can be extremely dangerous,” Wellington OPP said in a news release on Monday. “The magnitude of the beam is greater at distances despite the fact the observer may not be able to see light on the target.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Wellington OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
