Dozens of Winnipeggers made a splash Saturday for a good cause at the 6th annual Winnipeg Polar Plunge, an event organized by the Winnipeg Police Service that raises awareness and funds in support of Special Olympics Manitoba.
“We’ve done these in -30 [weather] and now we’re in much more friendly temperatures today, which is much more friendly for the participants,” said Darren Anderson, partnerships manager with Special Olympics Manitoba.
