Roughly $60,000 worth of cocaine and several handguns were seized after Winnipeg police stopped a stolen truck last Friday.
Around 11 p.m., officers saw a stolen car near Arlington Street and Burrows Avenue. They trailed the car to Inkster Boulevard and Salter Street, calling in backup to stop the vehicle.
Four men were taken into custody, and a search of the car resulted in the discovery of drugs and weapons.
Police seized 38 ounces of cocaine with a street value of approximately $60,000, along with a .32 calibre revolver, another revolver of unknown calibre and the frame of a replica 1911 handgun.
Shaine Christopher Paul, 29, Timothy Vance Porth, 55, Shannon Thomas Sanderson, 42, and Ernest Gunther Wunnemann, 45, all from Winnipeg, face dozens of charges each, including possessing a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of weapons, improper storage of a firearm and possession of property obtained by crime.
