Officers were called at around 11:40 p.m. CT to a home in the 1400-block of Cairns Avenue where three men had reportedly forced entry and assaulted the complainant.

Police said upon their arrival, the three men had fled on foot.

The complainant was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said a canine unit found a home where two of the men had been picked up in a taxi that they had called. Officers stopped the cab and arrested the men.

Both face charges of breaking and entering and commit robbery, as well as aggravated assault. In addition, the 33-year-old man is facing breach of probation charges, and the 25-year-old man had outstanding arrest warrants.
