Several emergency vehicles, as well as STARS Air Ambulance, were on scene at a fatal crash on Highway 19, west of the QEII Friday evening.
Leduc RCMP was called to a two-vehicle crash between between Range Road 255 and Range Road 260.
At 5:30 p.m., at least 11 emergency vehicles were responding and the road was blocked.
The two vehicles sustained heavy damage and one was in the ditch.
At least one person was flown away from the crash site by STARS.
RCMP told Global News one person died and two others suffered serious injuries.
