Police have arrested six people in connection with an armed assault in Côte Saint-Luc on Tuesday evening that sent a 25-year-old man to hospital.
The assault happened at around 9 p.m. on Kildare Road, near Eldridge Avenue, where the victim said he was ambushed by at least three people.

Police spokesperson André-Anne Picard said the victim was taken to hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Picard said the victim had upper body injuries that may have been caused by an edged weapon.
The overnight investigation allowed police to locate six individuals believed to be involved in the assault.

The suspects include three men and three women between the ages of 17 and 24.
They are being detained for questioning and are expected to appear in court later in the day.

Picard said it was too early to know what charges they could be facing.
