The OPP says a 32-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was nabbed over the weekend after trying to flee from a R.I.D.E. checkpoint.
Officers say a vehicle pulled into a late-night RIDE program in Perth County and the man and woman inside got out and ran into a wooded area.

Officers from Perth, Huron and Wellington Counties as well as Perth County paramedics and North Perth firefighters helped search for the pair and were able to bring them into custody.
The man was brought to hospital and then released to the OPP. Daniel Goulden, 32, of Loyalist Township, remains in custody. He faces a number of charges including flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and driving while disqualified.
The OPP announced back in December 2017 that police were searching for Goulden after he allegedly breached his parole conditions.
He was serving a sentence of six years and three months for charges of weapons trafficking, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of Schedule I/II substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Investigators say the woman arrested with Goulden this weekend was later released without charge.
