Montreal police say three men have been taken to hospital after being involved in an armed assault.
The three victims were 19-, 20- and 21-years-old. Police say they sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The altercation happened Monday at 4:10 p.m., at the intersection of Sainte-Catherine and Beaudry streets.
Police apprehended a 25-year-old suspect near the scene of the crime at the corner of René-Lévesque Blvd. E. and Amherst St.
“After meeting with the victims and a few witnesses, we know we are not talking about a hate crime.” Montreal police spokesperson Benoit Boisselle told Global News.
The motive for the attack is being investigated.
