The Calgary Flames assigned the veteran forward to Czech squad HC Kladno. It’s a homecoming for Jagr, a native of Kladno, Czech Republic, who also is a co-owner of the franchise.

Calgary signed Jagr to a one-year contract in October but the 45-year-old had just one goal and six assists in 22 games. Jagr cleared waivers Monday, a day after the Flames waived him.
