Kate Trotter, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Transportation, said the slide hit shortly after 7 a.m., causing about 20 cubic metres of trees and rocks to cover the highway.

She said there were no reports of injuries or property damage.

Crews have been sent to assess the section of highway, which is expected to reopen sometime this afternoon, according to Drive BC.
