5-car pileup on Alex Fraser Bridge leaves taxi on top of another vehicle

A taxi ended up on top of another vehicle in a five-car pileup on the Alex Fraser Bridge on a rainy Sunday night.

One car had reportedly stalled in the bridge’s middle lane before drivers piled into each other behind it at about 8:45 p.m.

Emergency responders were on the scene, but it’s not believed anyone was seriously hurt.

However, some who were involved in the pileup were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The incident blocked the bridge’s left and centre lanes heading northbound, according to DriveBC.

People are advised to drive with caution.
