There will be a new hotel at the Edmonton International Airport.

Development of the five-storey, 135-room and suite Fairfield Inn by Marriott has started and is scheduled to be finished in early 2019.

Developer K5 Investment Group said the Fairfield Inn will be a modern concrete structure that will include a swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room, meeting rooms and a lobby bar.

“Our ultimate objective is to offer something unique to travellers. With this revamped Fairfield design, coupled with our concrete structure and airtight heating/cooling system, we believe the hotel will be the ideal place for a traveller to get a deep and restful sleep,” Ron Kary, with K5 Investment Group, said.
