With Halloween right around the corner some Montrealers may be looking for a good scare, and those interested in the paranormal can get their fix right in the city.

Travel website Booking.com has listed some of the top locations believed to be haunted in Montreal.
“It’s not surprising with a history of 375 years since the foundation and of course a lot of things happening since, there’s quite a few spots,” said Marco Purificati, Booking.com’s area manager.
Here are some locations you may or may not want to check out this Halloween season.
Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel
The site of John and Yoko’s bed-in, the hotel has been revamped over the years, but hasn’t been able to shake one spirit in particular.
“There’s been reports of a woman dressed in white that wonders around the corridors and there’s some loud banging associated with that,” Purificati said.
L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel
The building has been around for centuries, but has had one guest stay for a while.
“Some insiders tell us there is a ghost of a little girl that was basically burned out in a fire and she can be heard playing piano from time to time,” Purificati told Global News Morning.
Mount Royal Cemetery
According to Purificati, people have been flocking to the site in hopes of catching a glimpse of someone — or something — making the rounds.
“There’s an Algonquin warrior that is seen from time to time,” Purificati said. “It was attracting so many people they actually had to increase security to avoid people coming in at night.”
Corner of Murray and William streets
Purificati says every seven years a decapitated ghost wanders around looking for her head. The next spotting is expected in 2019.
“Apparently, in 1879, a prostitute was killed by a colleague,” Purificati said.
Wellington Tunnel
It hasn’t been opened for years, but that hasn’t stopped people from visiting the abandoned site.
“People got back to visiting it because apparently there’s two ghosts in there,” Purificati said.
