“We are optimistic that this new information will help to lead us to Jesse,” Alisa Clamen said.

T-Mobile, whom she also requested information from, has not released any data.

“We are doing everything we can to assist in the search for Jesse, including working with investigators,” a T-Mobile spokesperson said.

“We don’t have location information on our partner networks when customers are roaming, but will certainly provide anything else we can to help.”

An online petition asking for T-Mobile’s help has garnered over 41,000 signatures.

Speaking from the Peru National police station, Clamen told Global News Tuesday police have also made requests with Facebook, Google and Snapchat to try to get geo-locating information.

The pre-med student was taking a year off and was planning to do the Santa Cruz Trek.

Clamen said she filed a report with Montreal police to generate an Interpol presence, as well as with Canadian and U.S. missing persons departments.

She told Global News U.S. embassy officials are now on their way to help, and she’s waiting on the Canadian embassy to do the same.
