Police investigate crash that throws five teens from back of truck

RODNEY, N.S. – Police in Nova Scotia are investigating a truck roll-over that allegedly involved eight teenagers in a truck, with five in the rear box.

RCMP say they were called to an accident in Rodney involving a pick-up truck at around noon Tuesday.

They say three young people were inside the truck, but five in the back were thrown from the vehicle.

One person was pinned under the truck for some time.

Four people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and all had been released.

All of the passengers – six women and two men between the ages of 16 and 18 years old – are believed to be from the Springhill area.
