A wild and windy Thanksgiving long weekend is on the way with a chance of snow.
Saskatoon Forecast
Friday
Saskatoon slipped back to 2 degrees under clear skies overnight, but a bit of upper ridging, lots of sunshine and a breezy southwesterly wind kicked in during the morning.
The combination of those factors helped warm temperatures up into the low teens by noon.
It was a fabulous finish to the first week of October with loads of sunshine, breezy conditions and just a few clouds building in later in the day with a daytime in the 20s, a far cry from the 30 centimetres of snow that was on the ground last year on this date.

Friday Night
Clouds funnel right back into the area Friday night with a chance of showers as a cold front approaches and a breezy west-southwesterly wind continues will help keep temperatures in mid single digits.
Saturday
Thanksgiving long weekend will kickoff with a cold front Saturday morning that will pick up west-northwesterly winds to 30 to 40 km/h with gusts upwards of 50 to 60 km/h during the day.
A few clouds and a chance of showers will start the day before we get into midday sunshine and rise up to an afternoon high around 12 degrees or so before clouds and a chance of showers return in late in the day.
Sunday
Even cooler air presses in on Sunday as a northwesterly wind of 30 to 40 km/h with gusts upwards of 50 to 60 km/h chills conditions even further.
Cloudy skies are expected to dominate the day with scattered a risk of showers and flurries all day as we struggle to make it up to an afternoon high around 7 degrees.
Thanksgiving Day Monday
The calmest day of the long weekend will be Thanksgiving Day on Monday, with winds easing back quite a bit and sunshine returning.
A rebuilding upper ridge will help push temperatures back into upper single digits, possibly even topping out in low double digits.
Work Week Outlook
Daytime highs will push back into the low teens to start off the short work week with clouds building back in by Wednesday that will slide through and cool us back into single digits later in the week.
