In this edition of High School Huddle, the E.D. Feehan Trojans get a hero’s welcome at a special pep rally last week celebrating the return of football.

With roughly 600 students, the Catholic high school is often an underdog in Saskatoon.

Despite their size, the Trojans have just as much pride as other schools for their sports teams, including one that has returned for the first time since 2007.

E.D. Feehan football is back and they are taking a measured approach, playing just two games this season in a special arrangement with the Saskatoon Secondary Schools Athletic Directorate (SSSAD).

The Trojans hope to play a full schedule in future years, but first had to ensure there was enough interest from students.

This season, 26 players took to the field and won both their games.
