Winnipeg diver drowns in West Hawk Lake

A 55-year-old man from Winnipeg drowned during a recreational dive with his wife on Saturday.

Falcon Lake RCMP were called to West Hawk Lake at around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a diver in distress. Investigators believe the accident happened after the man ran out of air, suffering a medical issue as he surfaced.

The diver was pulled from the water and pronounced dead on scene.

Falcon Lake RCMP are continuing to investigate. They say no foul play is suspected.
