Maidstone RCMP say four people are facing firearm charges after a traffic stop north of Lloydminster on Wednesday.

A vehicle was stopped on Highway 17 resulting in the seizure of firearms and suspected drugs.

RCMP said Devin Nasby, 36, Nathan Wolfe, 20, Derek Weeseekase, 18, and Sloan Ochuschayoo, 24, have all been charged.

They all face charges of possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, participation or contribution to the activities of a criminal organization and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

All have been remanded to Lloydminster provincial court for Monday, Oct. 2.
