Exactly one month after a woman and her daughter were killed in a crash along the 401 near Dutton, the other driver involved has been charged.
Elgin County OPP say 53-year-old Hubert Domonchuk of Cambridge faces seven charges including two each of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
Officers say he was also charged with possession of cannabis resin.
On Aug. 29, 42-year-old Sarah Payne and her five-year-old daughter, Freya, died after a pickup truck crossed the 401 into the westbound lanes of the highway near Dutton and hit their minivan.
Payne’s six-year-old son was also hurt in the crash.
The OPP says Domonchuk is set to appear in a St. Thomas court on Nov. 14.
