Ville-Marie assault leaves 29-year-old man in critical condition

A 29-year-0ld man is fighting for his life after he was assaulted in Montreal’s Ville-Marie borough early Friday morning. Montreal police say they were called to an incident at the corner of de Bullion and de Boisbriand Street 2:30 a.m.

Police say they found the man unconscious on the ground surrounded by a group of people.

“At least one suspect struck the victim in the head hard enough that he fell to the ground unconscious,” said Montreal police spokesperson Manuel Couture.

The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition where doctors were unsure if he was going to survive.

Three men aged 19, 20 and 21, were taken into police custody to be interrogated Friday morning.
