Prince Albert police had a busy weekend that included arson at a house fire and a gas station robbery.
At around 2:30 a.m. CT on Sept. 16, a structure fire was reported in the 1100-block of 14th Street West.
The Prince Albert Fire Department arrived to find a single-storey home with heavy smoke and flames showing.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack to knock down the flames, allowing for a thorough search of all floors. No one was found inside the home.
Police said the fire is considered suspicious and an investigation is underway. Damage to the home is estimated at $40,000.

At around 7:50 p.m. CT on Sept. 17, officers were called to a robbery at the Canadian Tire gas station on Marquis Road West.
Police were told that two masked women entered the business and brandished a knife. They fled on foot with cash and cigarettes.
Surveillance photos from the robbery were released by police on Monday.
Police said on Tuesday that two Prince Albert girls, 15 and 16, have now been charged with robbery with a weapon.
The teens are expected to make their first appearance Tuesday in Prince Albert provincial court.
There were 278 calls for service and 48 arrests made by police between Friday evening and Monday morning.
