Montreal police are investigating the city’s 17th homicide of 2017 after a 26-year-old man died Monday.

According to Montreal police spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron, the man suffered injuries, possibly caused by a sharp object.

He was found in an apartment building on Mullins Street near Wellington Street in Pointe-Saint-Charles.

Police say the victim was found by a resident of the apartment complex, but little else is known about the events leading up to the death.
