Tenants displaced by fire at Moncton rooming house

The Canadian Red Cross is helping tenants of a Moncton rooming house after a fire caused smoke and water damage to the building.

The fire broke out at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the two-storey structure on Donald Avenue.

Two people were treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation but there were no serious injuries reported.

According to the Canadian Red Cross, seven adults were displaced by the fire, which extensively damaged a room.
