Another woman has come forward saying a mysterious man who showed up at her mother’s funeral more than a decade ago.
Donna Beaumont says she knew everyone who attended the funeral, which took place in Burnaby in 2005, except the man who was standing by himself, so she approached him.
“Feeling emotional about what had gone on and my mom’s passing, we didn’t delve into too many questions other than to ask how he knew my mom. And he said his mom knew our mom and that they had done some things together. And I think I said, ‘Oh was it ceramics?’ And he said, ‘yes.'”
She says she probably gave the man a way out by mentioning ceramics, but it always bugged her that she couldn’t figure out who he was.
Beaumont says she can’t believe someone would prey on people’s good intentions at a time of mourning.

“I think it’s quite disgusting. I mean this fellow has no morals or values or even a conscious I guess. I guess he’s maybe hungry. He wants to go and eat and drink for free.”
She says he scribbled his signature into the guest book at her mother’s service.
Four people allege the man has been inviting himself to funerals across Metro Vancouver likely to fill up on food and drink.
