Four people are alleging a man has been inviting himself to people’s funerals across the Lower Mainland for nearly a decade.

“I feel a bit bad piling on to the public shaming but I think, you know, at a funeral you’re exploiting people’s grief.”
Susan Neilsen says she first saw the man at her mother’s funeral in 2013.
She says at first she felt bad no one was talking to him, so she approached him.
When she asked him how he knew her mother, he said his mom was friends with her.
“Then I said, ‘Oh, so did my mom drive your mom around shopping and things like that?’ And he said, ‘Oh yes, your mom would always drive my mom.'”
The problem with his answer is that her mother didn’t know how to drive.
Little is known about the man, but multiple people have contacted CKNW claiming to have seen him at different funerals.
If you are the unknown person, or happen to know how to get in touch with him, we would love to hear from you.
