Saskatoon Transit is giving country fans direct bus service to and from this weekend’s CCMA events.
One route will take riders to the CCMA Awards Show at Sasktel Centre on Sunday night from a special events stop at 23rd Street and 2nd Avenue starting at 3:30 p.m. CT.

Buses will also provide return service after the show.

“We don’t want to push people to drive if they’re not comfortable after they’ve had a few beer,” Saskatoon Transit director Jim McDonald said.
“This is one of those options they can use.”
Fans are also encouraged to take transit to the pre-awards show events at Prairieland Park on Friday and Saturday night, using routes 1 and 19.
“We welcome everybody here from out of town,” McDonald said.
“We want to recognize that sometimes it’s difficult to get around in a new city.”

Transit officials recommend riders check their transit app for rides to and from CCMA events.
The Canadian Country Music Awards weekend kicks off Friday with a cabaret, and Saturday with a fan-fest at Prairieland Park.
It all leads up to the CCMA Awards Show on Sunday night at Sasktel Centre.
