Campeau won the seat for the Saskatchewan Party by narrow margins in both 2011 and 2016.

Prior to that, the seat was a Saskatchewan NDP stronghold.

Elections Saskatchewan said 1,888 people cast a ballot in advance voting, which was close to the advance voter turnout in the riding from the 2016 provincial election.

Polls are open Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with early results expected shortly after voting closes.
