By 9 a.m., three drivers were handed speeding tickets in front of Quigley Elementary.

“I think a lot of people are getting the message today and are cognizant of the fact that kids are going back to school and lets hope that sticks,” Const. Bevan said.

School zone speed limits are in effect from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m Monday to Friday.
