With students back in class, police are reminding drivers in the Okanagan to slow down in school zones.
Police were enforcing the 30km/hr school zone speed limit at various schools throughout the valley Tuesday morning.
One of the schools was Quigley Elementary on Kitch Road in Kelowna.
“We will be targeting all the other different school zones throughout the coming weeks and months,” Kelowna RCMP Const. Troy Bevan said

“I think a lot of people are getting the message today and are cognizant of the fact that kids are going back to school and lets hope that sticks,” Const. Bevan said.
School zone speed limits are in effect from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m Monday to Friday.
Anyone caught speeding will face a fine of $196 as well as three penalty points.
