A 43-year-old man is facing drug charges after police revived him from a suspected drug overdose on Sunday morning.

Police were called to a hotel on east Victoria Avenue, where officers thought they were responding for a male who was in extreme medical distress, suspected to have a drug overdose. EMS responded as well where they revived the male and brought him to hospital.

Officers found cocaine and meth in the hotel room and a short time later police told the man he was being arrested and charged for possession of a scheduled substance.

Forty-three year-old Randal Ross Rochat of Moose Jaw is facing two charges of possession of a scheduled substance.

Rochat is scheduled to appear in court on October 11.
