In this week’s edition of Graphic Monday, we’re taking a look at exports of selected weapons from Canada.
Using figures provided by Statistics Canada, we can discover interesting facts like how Canada exported or re-exported 271 rocket launchers, flame-throwers, grenade-launchers or torpedo tubes to Denmark between 2007 and 2011.
Thailand got 713 semi-automatic pistols, a figure dwarfed by the U.S., which imported 39,195 Canadian semi-automatic pistols.

Semi-automatic pistol exports seem to have dropped severely in recent years though, falling from 10,309 in 2009 to only 59 in 2010.
The total export value of all of these weapons has declined steadily over the time period studied, from nearly $16 million in 2007 to $8,871,168 in 2011.
