A 10-year-old boy from Detroit saved his two-year-old brother from drowning after he says he found him face down in a pool.
Jacob O’Connor said the film San Andreas, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, taught him how to save his brother’s life.
San Andreas stars Johnson as a rescue chopper pilot and he’s responsible for saving lives after a massive earthquake.

The incident took place on July 25 and Jacob said he was “turning on a show then, a minute later, the doors were open.”
That was when he saw his brother, Dylan, had opened the screen door and fell into the pool.
“I pulled him out and started giving him compressions,” Jacob told News 5.

“He was more, ‘Nana, um Dylan opened the door and got in the backyard,” Ellen Vial, the grandmother, said.
She said that Jacob was calm but when she looked at Dylan she knew something was wrong.
“I looked in his eyes and his eyes were up in his head and not focused and that’s what really scared me,” she said.

Dylan was rushed to the hospital after being face down in the water for almost a minute. He was in the hospital for a day. The next day, he went back to his grandmother’s house and tried to get back in the pool.
Jacob said he knew what to do after watching San Andreas. “There was an earthquake, then it caused a tsunami and then there was a daughter that was drowning and he had to get her out and he did the same thing,” he said.
The Rock tweeted about the incident, praising Jacob.
