Several people were hurt in the crash and at least three young men were seen to be loaded into ambulances on stretchers. They were conscious when they were taken to hospital.

Officials have not released any information on the crash at this time but a police officer at the scene said it is believed all of the injuries are non-life threatening.

The accident has now been cleared.

Residents who live in the area say they are not surprised an accident has happened again at this intersection.

“There’s not an accident every day but there’s an accident more often than there should [be],” said one cyclist Thursday morning. “So it’s all due to speed and people in a hurry. It’s a direct route to downtown because of Burrard Street.”
