Saanich police say the investigation into the murder of B.C. realtor Lindsay Buziak nine-and-a-half years ago remains open and active.
This comes after a comment was left on the website run by her father, Jeff, apparently confessing to the crime.
Police say they are aware of the website and its contents and all tips and leads are investigated.
Jeff, who now lives in Calgary, Alberta, told Global News after waiting so long for an arrest in the case, he is “somewhat numb” to a comment like this but he alerted the police right away.
“Certainly my emotions ring all over the place, they’re bouncing off the wall,” he said.
“What I do try and remember is that this isn’t about me. This is about my beautiful young daughter who was murdered and got executed while she was working.”

Lindsay was killed while showing a home in Saanich in 2008.
On Feb. 2, 2008, Buziak received a call from a woman asking for a showing at about 5:30 p.m. Later, Buziak got a call from a man, who said he’d meet with her alone instead.

It has been reported that Buziak felt uneasy about the showing and asked her boyfriend to check in on her.
At about 6:15 p.m. police received two 911 calls: one from outside the house, then minutes later, one from inside, asking for medical help.
Buziak’s body was found by her boyfriend, Jason Zailo, 15 minutes after her death.
