Halifax’s annual Busker Festival brings the world’s street performers to the Maritimes, but it also brought together two people in a symbol of love that was all caught on camera.
Shane Bourque’s proposal to Kerissa Richards has quickly gone viral, being viewed over 45,000 times on the Halifax Busker Festival Facebook page.

The proposal came during a performance from Victor Rubilar, a performer who presents stunts using soccer balls.
Rubilar had invited Richards on stage to be his assistant when he made a joke about the fact she wasn’t married to her boyfriend.

At that moment Bourque decided to take action, jumping through the crowd to get down on one knee and pop the question.
When she said yes, everyone in the crowd gave them a hand.
