Four Quebecers among 22 injured in boat crash off island in Puerto Rico

There is a report that four Quebecers were among 22 people injured in a recent boating crash in Puerto Rico.

Julie McCann tells Radio-Canada her father suffered broken bones and lacerations while her mother dislocated her shoulder and received a concussion after a motorboat struck the family as they were boarding a tour boat.

McCann was also vacationing with her partner and their two children and says one of the kids suffered a nervous shock.

The crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. on July 25, as the family was boarding a boat to take part in a night tour around Isla Magueyes, in Puerto Rico.

She said the family waited 36 hours in hospital to see a doctor and that no one cleaned or tried to stitch her father’s open wounds during that time.

The Quebec City family is considering suing the operator of the motorboat and the agency that organized the night tour.
