Police say a 23-year-old man is facing charges after a dispute at a North York gas station became violent.
Toronto police said they were called to the scene at Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. Two men, not known to each other, had gotten into a disagreement while they were pumping gas.
The situation “escalated quickly” and according to police, one man pulled out a drywall tool and tried to strike the other man with it.
Seyed-Amir-Ali Sheikholeslami was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He’s expected in court on Aug. 10.
