Ricky Gervais is feeling the heat after making a questionable “joke” about HIV/AIDS.

On Tuesday, the 55-year-old British comedian shared a photo to his Twitter account, with the following statement:

In response, many of his followers took offence to the tweet, calling out the comedian for perpetuating an unwarranted stigma attached to the syndrome.
