An 18-year-old man has died after he showed up at an Edmonton hospital suffering from a gunshot wound on Wednesday night.
Police said the man was dropped off at the Royal Alexandra Hospital by friends just before 11 p.m. He later died in hospital.
On Thursday afternoon, police confirmed the man’s death was a homicide. His cause of death was a gunshot wound.
The victim has been identified as Tomas Echeverria-Quintana.
Police are trying to find out what happened before the man showed up at hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information about the events leading up to the man’s death to call police or Crime Stoppers.
