Pedestrian rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after west Edmonton crash

Police are investigating a collision between a truck and pedestrian near 178 Street and 100 Avenue that critically injured one person.

It happened just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

EMS personnel treated and transported the pedestrian to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Many lanes and directions of traffic near 178 Street and 100 Avenue were impacted for several hours while police investigated.

As of 5:25 p.m., EPS said the area was open to traffic.
