A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and arson, as well as obstructing police and breaching probation.

Police say there’s no public safety concern and they are not pursuing any other suspects.

The victim was seen at Stratford General Hospital before being transferred to London for further treatment.

Stratford’s criminal investigations unit is continuing to look into the case.

Stratford police chief Mike Bellai issued a statement Friday wishing a “speedy recovery” for the victim.
