RCMP investigating Gordie Howe jersey theft from Saskatchewan rink

An autographed Gordie Howe jersey that was to be raffled off as part of a fundraiser for the arena in Asquith, Sask., was stolen.

RCMP are investigating after a Gordie Howe jersey was stolen at the Asquith, Sask., hockey rink on Jan. 29.

Recently, Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers released surveillance photos on social media in an attempt to assist the investigation.

The public was asked to identify a man who entered Al Anderson’s Source for Sports in Saskatoon on Jan. 31. The individual reportedly inquired about the sale price of a Howe jersey that was encased in glass.

Warman RCMP officials said they no longer require public assistance in locating the individual.

No charges have been laid.
