Class is in session at Niagara Catholic elementary schools.
The teachers had been locked out since March 20 before a tentative new deal was reached Sunday between the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association, Niagara elementary unit, and the Niagara Catholic District School Board.
Niagara elementary unit president Marie Balanowski issued an email, saying, “It was heart-warming to see parents, teachers and the community working together for what is best for our students. We thank you for your support.”
Details of the new deal will be released once a ratification vote is held.
