The win moved the Hitmen into a tie with the Blades for the final wild card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with a game in hand.

Jesse Shynkaruk and Mason McCarty had power-play goals for the Blades (23-28-8).

The Blades are back in action on Wednesday when the Regina Pats travel to Saskatoon.
