RCMP said the driver managed to bring the truck back onto the road, but it then collided with a northbound SUV.

The driver of the SUV was killed and a female passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The driver and passenger in the Dodge left the crash on foot, but witnesses brought them back to the scene.

Both of those men, aged 25 and 46, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
