Man, 24, charged with drug trafficking after van stopped in Regina

The Regina Police Service is looking for help from the public in locating a maroon-coloured Nissan that was driving 183 km/h in a construction zone. The incident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at Ring Road and Wascana Parkway.

A 24-year-old man is facing several drug trafficking charges after police stopped a vehicle Monday morning in the city’s North Central neighbourhood.

At around 10:20 a.m, officers saw a vehicle with a passenger who was wanted by police.

Police pulled the van over on the northbound side of the 1400 block of Pasqua Street.

According to police, as officers approached the van, the passenger attempted to push the driver out and drive away. Police were able to get the passenger out of the vehicle and he was arrested on warrants.

Police also found methamphetamine, cocaine and gun ammunition. They also recovered a stolen vehicle and a stolen licence plate.

Nayo Pisim Fox is facing six charges, including possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a scheduled substance (cocaine).

Fox is set to appear in provincial court on Dec. 20 at 9:30 a.m.
