If you’re heading to Rogers Place Sunday afternoon for the Edmonton Oil Kings game, you won’t be able to access the arena through the pedestrian portal.
The Oil Kings said the pedestrian portal off 103 Avenue and 103 Street will be closed due to the potential for severe winds.
“We have been monitoring the wind forecast for two days, and gusts are forecasted up to 100 kilometres per hour at higher elevations near Rogers Place and the ICE District construction site creating the potential for associated risks,” Rob Thomas, communications manager with the Oil Kings, said in a media release Sunday.
