The Nova Scotia government has released the second installment of its “Birds and the Bees” public awareness campaign videos.
The campaign, which launched in October, is aimed at youth age 14-20 and uses both animation and metaphors to discuss important topics like consent.
The first video takes place at a house party and explores the issue of alcohol and consent.

The idea behind the videos is to help explain situations of sexual violence that youth face today.

“I liked that I learned more about sexual violence so we can put a stop to it when we see it happen,” said Leiv Grude, age 16, in a news release.
“A lot of people don’t realize what sexual violence means. It’s an important issue because it happens all the time, and we never do anything to stop it.”
The second video, which launched on Friday, deals with the issue of online sexual harassment.
