City council unanimously approved the contract at a special meeting on Thursday afternoon.

The agreement ends a four-year long dispute over wages and the group’s pension plan.
Ward 8 Coun. Sarina Gersher helped create the group Bus Riders of Saskatoon.
She says the vote is a step forward in the city’s long-term transit plan.
“Having been a rider affected by transit both two years ago and the work action, it’s great news today,” Gersher said.
“I am happy to have been part of this vote and I imagine riders and everybody in this city are pretty excited.”
