A 22-year-old man is facing almost two dozen charges following a trafficking investigation by Calgary police.
According to the Calgary Police Service, the three-month investigation began in September following a tip from the public.
During the course of the investigation, police seized approximately 25 grams of cocaine, a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun and stolen property.

Hamid Ali Daryab, of Calgary, is facing 23 charges including cocaine trafficking, firearms trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.
He was taken into custody by police during a traffic stop in the 200 block of Shawville Boulevard S.E. on Dec. 8. Police allege 30 grams of powder cocaine, 25 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were found in his vehicle.
“Illegal drug activity is a danger to the community and a root cause of social disorder, violent crime and property crime,” police said in a Thursday news release. “Vehicle thefts, break and enters and robberies are often committed by those trying to fuel addiction.’”
Daryab is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
